By evolving from the one-sided ‘showing’ of normal performances, this program promotes ‘two-sided exchange’ while striving to provide more direct engagement on arts experience-centered education. through integrating operations of culture and arts education with performing art infrastructure, our aim is to provide distinguished services which will serve as leading models in performance connected education programs of the future. Particularly, people will discover the effects of aesthetic education by participating in the production process. Art Educator Groups : TA (Teaching Artist) / MTA (Master for Teaching Artist)
-
What is TA (Teaching Artist)?
TAs(teaching artists) are a group of arts educators trained by SFAC in the interdisciplinary method which enables them to both introduce students to all arts genres and to use the method with which the arts are explored for the study of diverse subjects in the curriculum. this curriculum includes an introductory course and an advanced course within a six-month learning period. In the introductory course, artists learn the techniques of skilled facilitation that support a positive engagement with students; encouraging a supportive attitude for student learning. this training transforms them into all-around educators rather than artists alone. the advanced course provides artists with new educational possibilities. It enables them to attempt integration of different genres of arts with a basic curriculum, through SFAC’s interdisciplinary course in the creative culture and arts education.
