A Happy City with Lights, Seoul Festival of Lights
‘Seoul Festival of Lights’ is a Korean Winter festival which highlights the strengths of Korea and Seoul. It is the successor the Seoul’s leading year-end Lights festival (Lucevista) held from 2004 to 2007. Lights expressing a winter city night, the festival of lights is a space which showcases the joys and wonders of urban spaces. The leading outdoor musical performance of Seoul held in Ancient Palaces
The¡º Royal Palace Musical Performance¡» project provides citizens with opportunities to enjoy cultural arts and contribute to our goals to attract 12 million foreigners by creating musical performances and permanent performances within ancient palaces where splendid history lives and breathes. By going farther than simple preservation and maintenance of representative Royal Palace (Ancient Palaces) of Seoul, they are being used as venues for Royal Palace Musical projects helping further promote Seoul as a global, cultural and historical city. Through such efforts, we expect not only increased promotion of the superiority and individuality of our Royal palaces, but also become a leading cultural tourist product as visitors can enjoy cultural resources of ancient palaces as well as the delights of Korean traditional musicals
