West Seoul Arts Center for Learning

Overview

A new art space model to support the right to play of children and youth

Opened on October 8, 2016 as the first offspring of Seoul’s project for the establishment and operation of arts education center for children and youth, the West Seoul Arts Center for Learning is an aesthetic experience-based arts space for learning created by renovating the abandoned Gimpo Booster Station at Shinwal-dong, Yangcheon-gu. Developed by the City of Seoul and operated by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, the West Seoul Arts Center for Learning aims to realize children and young people’s right to play and support arts education for communities. Designed as a cultural platform in the southwest Seoul, the Center is open for everyone to enjoy arts and culture.
